The Complete Package

I decided that the jumpsuit would not be complete without the matching headband and socks. I sewed buttons on the socks and headband to match the color scheme of the butterfly design. In addition, I made a burp cloth that matched the outfit. I think this outfit is ready to go. Now that the complete outfit is ready to wear, maybe she will come.

Fly Butterfly

So, apparently nesting has sparked my creative and organizational abilities. I love nesting for this reason. I've made this super cute baby outfit out of new and vintage fabric finds. It's very artistically interesting because the gold fabric is probably the oldest. I've taken this fabric from curtains that I found at a yard sale in the museum district in Houston. The next layer is a find that was probably manufactured in the late 60s early 70s. I found this bright and colorful fabric at a Catholic Church thrift sale in Aiken , SC. The outer most gray and white layer encompass a contemporary design. This fabric was purchased from a local store. I love to preserve "old" while embracing the "new.
Old + New = Brilliant!!!
